Missing The Road

Last April I hit the road with the boys in Danger Is My Middle on the Love, Friendship and Money tour. I had done a few trips with them in the past, so I knew that the tour was going to be nothing, but crazy and filled with tons of fun. We hit the road with Skies Alive and Atavan. We all became one big family in a matter of days. But once I got home, I knew that I wouldn’t be hitting the road again for awhile, due to the fact that I was going back to school. Sure I did a few small trips before my school started in October, but none of them were touring or anything like that.

When I was signing up for school I never would have guessed that a 10 month program keeping me in one state would be so hard for me, and that it would make me miss the road so much. I know that it’s not really a long time and I do have a few short trips while I’m in school, but it’s not the same as being able to tour. Lately I have really been missing living in a van and getting to take photos documenting the lives of others. Since none of my friends lives have changed and they are all still on the road, reading their tweets and Facebook updates just makes me miss it that much more. I found myself looking through the shots that I took while on my last tour, so thus I feel that the best way to share my feelings was through this blog by sharing a few photos and some stories to go along with them.

Getting to beat up The Alumni Club.

As some of you may know I have been working with the band The Alumni Club for the past year or so. They are one of my favorite bands to work with since they always come up with great ideas for their shoots and almost never come to me saying that they don’t have an idea, but need a photoshoot. Well, this time The Club really out did themselves. I got a text from Greg saying that he wanted to do a photoshoot where they were beat up and got mug shots taken of them. We talked about this idea for a few months, discussing how we were going to shoot it and how the final images were going to turn out.
